Why BuiltAir©?

Whether you are managing a high-tech medical facility or a residential complex, standard monitoring often relies on single data records that fail to capture the complex dynamics of modern indoor spaces.

BuiltAir© transcends these limitations by offering a synchronized network of high accuracy monitors that reveal the hidden movements of air, pollutants, and thermal energy throughout an entire building. By moving beyond basic CO2 and temperature readings, our technology provides the granular data, including 0.1oC accuracy and high resolution pressure differentials, needed to balance ventilation systems, eliminate stagnant “dead air” zones, and understand interzone infiltration-in real-time.

This advanced approach is easily configurable, providing focused insights across a diverse range of sectors. From helping schools to balance fresh air delivery with tight energy budgets in ageing HVAC systems and assisting hospitals in controlling viral loads through precise airflow management, BuiltAir© provides the specific tools required for complex environments.

By integrating directly with Building Management Systems (BMS) and utilizing our FastLog© technology for continuous air change rate profiles, we empower you to move past guesswork and make data-driven decisions that protect both your infrastructure and the people inside.

Building management (BMS)

Ethernet connection is now available- you can collect data direct from the Border Router into your system. Setting up a network of monitors gives you synchronized data across many zones so you can see the effects of interzone infiltration, PM and gas diffusion for air quality, subtle temperature differences with 0.1oC accuracy, and accurate pressure differences not previously available. Balance your ventilation system with better data quality and then monitor air change rates with FastLog© technology to provide a continual air change rate profile for each zone.

Residential & Landlords

BuiltAir Monitors provide so much more information. Our analysis and your understanding of your residence lets you make the best decisions.  Deploy monitors in the bedroom, living room and especially the kitchen, where you will be surprised by the high particle and V0C concentrations increase when cooking. Closed bedrooms can be unhealthy, leakage to attached garages should be controlled, and mould in poorly ventilated bathrooms and bedrooms are unhealthy.

Tenants will seal their apartments to save energy, leading to mould growth and poor air quality. Monitor the air change rate to ensure adequate fresh air, but not over ventilating, which is expensive. Bathrooms can be an issue with poor ventilation and cooking fumes and grease due to  poor extraction can lead to grease buildup and poor air quality.

Schools

Many schools are ageing and their ventilation systems struggle. Too expensive to rebuild, they can be better balanced to provide adequate fresh air without increasing the energy budget. Teachers can learn when to open windows, ensuring good airflow, mechanical ventilation can be optimised for airflow between classrooms and hallways, and reducing toilet smells are all important and affordable.  And you can monitor the air quality during the school runs, reminding parents of good air quality habits.

Hospitals

Controlling bacterial and viral loads between hospital zones and clinics is difficult and important. The BuiltAir pressure and airflow sensors are useful tools to help you control airflow.  CO2 and other monitoring methods let you ensure adequate air change in operating rooms, waiting rooms, wards and hallways- you need the tools to monitor airflow in complex environments.

Offices

Are workers happy with their environment? Thermal comfort, good airflow and adequate air quality are all three important. The BuiltAir Monitors measure the parameters you need. Simple CO2/T/RH measurements are shown to not align with worker complaints- you need more information on airflow, particles, infiltration between zones, dead air spaces to find answers to worker complaints.

Sports facilities

Sports facilities are complex environments where pollutants and temperature and humidity control are dynamic. The BuiltAir Monitors capture those transients and inform you of air change rates, particle generation and pollutants as they occur, with synchronised network capability so you see the response of the entire building, not just one zone.
